Final Project: Analytics

Course Description

The Certificate in Analytics program cumulates with a required Applied Learning project to be completed outside of the classroom. The project will address a real-world challenge pertaining to your work environment in business, government, or other organization, while reinforcing certificate material. A final report-out and presentation to your senior management will be required within three- to six-months after the conclusion of the required certificate courses.

Course Content

INTRODUCTION TO ANALYTICS MODELING 

  • An introduction to important and commonly used models in Analytics, as well as aspects of the modeling process. 

COMPUTING FOR DATA ANALYTICS

  • Computational techniques needed for data analysis
  • Programming, accessing databases, multidimensional arrays, basic numerical computing, and visualization
  • Hands-on applications and case studies

DATA ANALYTICS IN BUSINESS

  • The scientific process of transforming data into insights for making better business decisions.
  • The methodologies, algorithms, and challenges related to analyzing business data
